JINX_1391 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 I completed my first ever PC build over the weekend. After finding DCS 6+ months ago, learning, and playing my previous set up was - well lacking. I was enjoying the game on a Dell laptop (i7-4510U / Intel® HD Graphics 4400) quite nicely. On 1.2 I could get 12-17 FPS on med/high, 10-13 FPS on med with 1.5, and 9-12 FPS on 2.0 with everything to low. Thank you everyone on here that helped me with the questions I had in my other threads, and thank you in general for everyone in the DCS community. It took me a long time to come over to PC gaming, and the community here with DCS played a huge role. A video is forthcoming from the build process, but here are a few end result pics. BTW...now gaming on 2.0 at 110-120 FPS on high. [sIGPIC]http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn266/JINX1391/jinx%20f99th%20sig_zps2hgu4xsl.png[/sIGPIC] "90% of the people who actually got to fly the F/A-18C module there (E3 2017) have never even heard of DCS or are otherwise totally undeserving pieces of trash." -Pyromanic4002
MacTheGoon Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Looks slick man, I really like that case. What is it? JINX_1391 Posted February 8, 2016 Author Posted February 8, 2016 Looks slick man, I really like that case. What is it? The case is Phanteks Enthoo Luxe Full Tower Chassis PH-ES614L White. I just noticed in the Pics that a portion of the LED strip has sagged down by the CPU cooler. That shouldn't be there... The case is stunning, considering I am hedging this build to carry my DCS needs for the next 5-6 years, the investment was worthy of the result. MacTheGoon Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Yeah, I just built a new system not too long ago also. I figured the key was not to build for 2016, but for 2018 or so. Noticed you're in Maryland...I work in Alexandria.
