Hello everyone,

It may be a simple and obvious question but my googling attempts and reading on popular controllers like Leo Bodnar's devices haven't made it clear.

I am designing my first custom panel, trying to get the hang of this. :)

I am looking to add a few stand-alone analog sticks from salvaged xbox 360 or PS3 controllers to my setup. My intention is to use them for slew control of the radar and optical systems.

Any suggestions for a controller board? A few buttons would also be nice.

Thanks in advance, everyone!

This analog mini-sticks (3 output pins) can be wired in any USB controller with analog inputs, e.g. BU0836, DSD, MMjoy2, etc.

With native Windows HID drivers this boards support 5-8 axis, 36 buttons (included in POV HAT).

Thanks Sokol, helpful as always! I am planning to cannibalize a gamepad for this project, does it matter which one I pick? (xbox, ps3, logitech)? Maybe some gamepad models have better quality sticks?

Thanks!
