VTJS17_Fire Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Hi, yesterday we tested the improvements for the L-39 with NTTR and tried to simulate an IFR departure from Nellis. I know, that the Albatros doesn't have TACAN, but what we wanted to test is: + use of the RSBN manual mode to direct to the TACAN station at LAS + intercept that radial and navigate to MINTT (see chart) With the M-2000C no problem, because of it's ability to use TACAN. I searched the forums how the RSBN works (I only flew freeflight with the Albatros until yet) and how to navigate without a RSBN station. So, in theory it should work. Here's the departure chart, we used the runway 21R/L. [ame]http://155.178.201.160/d-tpp/1602/00227DREAM.PDF[/ame] After line-up on the runway, we set our RSBN in manual mode to 212°, with 22,2 Km - pointing direct to TCN LAS. After take-off, my distance counted up, not down! For my buddy it worked - his distance counted down and he could intercept the correct outbound course. I don't know what I had done wrong. But as I understood it, my RSBN took my position at the runway as "virtual" point, that's why it counted up (flying from that point away). Any hints? Thanks in advance. kind regards, Fire PS: ADF isn't a solution, because there's no distance to read out.
