MaverickET Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 I know that it is possible to mod NVG's for the Su-25 and A-10A, but due to these commands not being linked to anything in the cockpit models of the FC3 fighter aircraft we still don't have night vision capability in them. Does anyone know if this is done on purpose (some potential balance reasons) or if ED just hasn't gotten around to it? It would be awesome to finally have NVG's in the Eagle. :pilotfly: In the mean-time here is some After Effects editing to imitate the look of NVG's: [ame] [/ame] 383rd. Enduro14 Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 I hope they are added as anybody can use nvg anywhere anytime. I don't find the reasoning some say the aircraft can't use them because it doesn't have a compatible nvg cockpit due to lighting and such. Very un true. I have personally witnessed fellas flying under nvg in a c172 and various other light air frames. I think it would be very nice having all airframes with nvgs Intel 8700k @5ghz, 32gb ram, 1080ti, Rift S

But as far as I know the way ED has set-up the links for the model files to the shader files, that link has to be present in the cockpit model of the aircraft. These links are present in the A-10A and Su-25 so you can mod the input.lua files and get the NVG's working for those aircraft. Edited February 21, 2016 by MaverickET 383rd. I wasn't directing any of that towards you their has been allot of threads about this and that is the usual thing that comes up. Yes I wish we could MOD in the nvgs to all aircraft but like you stated not all are possible which is a bummer. I have seen mention of adding nvgs to the mirage which is great. That's good news, I hope to see it implemented in the near future. 383rd.
