J3ST3R Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Just curious more than anything, I've noticed that AI traffic always takes off from one of the 03 runways but landing traffic always lands opposite direction on 21L. Is there a reason for this or is there a way to change it. I've set the wind from both the north and the south but no change on runways used. bcradio Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 IRL flights with live weapons are required to launch to the north (that way if they have to jettison or have an emergency they won't be dropping or crashing on houses). Same goes for the recoveries. Just curious more than anything, I've noticed that AI traffic always takes off from one of the 03 runways but landing traffic always lands opposite direction on 21L. J3ST3R Posted February 27, 2016 Author Posted February 27, 2016 Ok, so it's local orders for that station. Cool. I work in air traffic control and it's obviously a no no in normal situations.
