Me/Friend can't see or join created server.

Hi all,

 

me and a friend are desperately trying to get a multiplayer to run. So far with no success.

 

What works is that we are able to join an already running server that appears in the server list in DCS.

 

I can start a server and it will run on my machine, I can fly around etc. But my friend can't see my server nor can he view it in the server list. The same goes the other way around, I can't see him on the server list and I can't connect directly via his IP when he creates a server.

 

- We both have the same release (latest 1.5.3)

- Have DCS in the "allowed list" in the windows firewall rules (TCP/UDP in and outgoing traffic)

- Tried turning off the firewall completely

- I have manually opened port 10308 for TCP/UDP on my router (see attachment - sorry in german, but I think you get the idea)

 

What is interesting: I can't ping my friend over the shell(?)

 

Any ideas?

Is your port 10308 really open? Try using a port checker to verify it.

We solved it :D I didn't have outgoing rules set in the firewall.
