Kieran Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Hi, I'm not new to this simulator just am to the forums. I wouldnt say I'm a new flyer but what is the best speed to maintain while landing the f15c without missiles and fuel tanks and with fuel and missiles? Interested to hear anyone's thoughts?
DarkFire Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Welcome aboard :) I'm a novice when it comes to the F-15C and have only taken it up a handful of times, being more of a Su-27 person. That being said, with no external tanks or missiles I usually fly final approach at around 160 - 170 Kts. With bags and missiles the approach speed will be higher, though I'm not sure to what degree exactly. System Spec: Cooler Master Cosmos C700P Black Edition case. | AMD 5950X CPU | MSI RTX-3090 GPU | 32GB HyperX Predator PC4000 RAM | | TM Warthog stick & throttle | TrackIR 5 | Samsung 980 Pro NVMe 4 SSD 1TB (boot) | Samsung 870 QVO SSD 4TB (games) | Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. Personal wish list: DCS: Su-27SM & DCS: Avro Vulcan.

GGTharos Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 No, whatever speed maintains 21 units AoA. There are other landing techniques as well, this is the basic one. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
