Ghost contacts on VTB

Hi,

 

sometimes (or likely very often) I have ghost contacts on my VTB. They are there on the radar, but not in the game. For example: I see three contacts but only can lock on of them.

 

I attached a track from our training today with a radar test. There are 4 MiG-29A (without jammer) in an open pseudo box formation, but my VTB showed me three contacts. I only could lock the first one.

Is this a bug or I'm doing something wrong?

What do you mean with ECM? No such capability on MiG-29As ;)

At first, the MiG-29A hasn't the capability of internal/external jammer. Second, only noise jamming is simulated, repeater jamming isn't.

As said above, the MiG-29A has no internal or external ECM equipment. So, it can't jam.

 

And the only ECM which is modeled in DCS, is noise jamming, where you see a strobe on your radar screen.

You have a 4 aircraft flight in a diamond formation. What are their altitudes? Are they flying at the same level?

I don't know if it's the same bug, but I got contacts on my VTB by every air group checked by "LATE ACTIVATION", even they haven't been spawned yet.... You could mark they with the TDC!

 

I'm using current OpenBeta version 1.5.3.51171.34, tried at various missions (ported from early version and made from scrath)

Reproduced. Put 6 late activation planes ahead of you and the radar picks them all up. Oops :)

Can confirm this.

In our mission there are all targets set by Late Activation, except the tanker. :thumbup:

Looks like an issue on ED's side, is this happening only with the M-2000C?
