mj3437 Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Can someone tell me how/ where to do this. I know there must be several threads about this, but a search didn't turn up any specifics. I am moving DCS to a new SSD. Thanks for any help. MJ msi Z170A MB, i7-6700k @ 4.0GHz, 32GB DDR4 GeForce GTX 970 4GB, Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB Acer Predator Z271, 650w PSU, Corsair Carbon500R, MS FFB 2
ricktoberfest Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Either in the Windows start menu, or in the game folder (maybe the bin folder). I don't remember the name of the file but it's something to do with star force activation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Rangi Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 In the quick start manual for each module there is deactivation instructions. Quick start is in the docs folder. PC: 6600K @ 4.5 GHz, 12GB RAM, GTX 970, 32" 2K monitor.
mj3437 Posted March 13, 2016 Author Posted March 13, 2016 (edited) Thanks for info. Will a reactivation even be necessary with a drive update? From the Huey quick start: An activation will be required if the hardware/software changes exceed 12 points as rated below: CPU ID: 13 Windows PID: 3 Computer Name: 3 Hard drive volume serial number: 3 MAC address: 6 RAM amount: 6 If you just uninstall the game and then reinstall it again on the same PC without reinstalling your operating system or changing hardware, you do not need to use a deactivation.
