Radar not showing any targets in multirole mission

So I set up a mission to destroy ground targets with GBU's and then intercept some Su-24M's. AWACS support is also available. After I eliminate ground targets (turned on radar, TAS mode) I switch to Super530 and begin to search for air targets. And I can't even see my AWACS on VTB screen. Is that a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

Yep, this is really a bug - if I don't use TAS mode for bombing, radar works properly after. Showing air targets.

I seem to have read that the radar needs 2' for heat it to work.

that's right

but before I go bombing, I already have my radar heated up. The mission starts in the air already, with radar working - it shows me air targets before I start bombing procedures (TAS mode ON)

Can you send me the mission file to test it?

Okay. I flew the mission and tried to bomb the tanks. Failed at that.

Then turned towards were the figthers were detected. No joy even with radar at 80 nmiles, but at 55 nmiles I got them.

At 45 nmiles I got radar lock:

I put the radar in TAS switched to RS, etc., and no problem at all. I couldn't even reproduce the one were somebody else got an incomplete AA radar display.

The enemy aircraft were really distant and they had to get into radar range (about 65 nmiles) before I could detect them. I even did an elevation search, but had to wait for a while before I could get them.

As for the awacs not being visible, remember that now you have a stabilized radar antenna. If the awacs is above the search cone you will have to move the antenna up to detect it.

did you do it with your TAS mode on ?

where's the button for the radar elevation in the cockpit? I can't find it ... I see azimuth button, but not elevation :(

Are you sure you didn't get that reversed?

Because there is no azimuth "button" in the cockpit: azimuth follows TDC.

The control for elevation is on the front side on the throttle.

Radar antenna elevation is on the back of the throttle grip. You'll need to use the keybinds or axis mapping control for it. Key binds are in the Sensors category, I believe.

Edit: probably "azimuth button" is referring to the 3-pos azimuth setting switch.

Where abouts would this control be?

There is a keybind named "VTB Viewport ON/OFF", using it will bring the VTB on screen as on the screenshots.

You need to have a RIGHT_MFCD viewport defined in your monitor configuration (there are default monitor configuration that define it).
