Hello people, i have been flying the eagle recently and im having some troubles doing so, so i have 2 questions:

1. When im dogfighting i cant seem to out turn anyone, i even get rekt by AI f-5 guns only. I try to keep my speed at 400kt - 450kt but by doing so i cant get behind anyone, if i pull a little more G's to try and get behind some one i bleed my energy and bellow 250kt i cant do anything out of the airctaft exept dive to gain speed and im back at the begining. I have been reading about BFM but im either preforming the maneuvers wrong or its just the aircraft. I also know the eagle has a better climb rate but i dont know how to take advantage out of it.

Is there a way to learn and practice BFM better? Tuturials are also apreciated.

2. How can i tell how long is an incoming missle is going to travel at me before impact so that i know when to start maneuvering at the right time? The eagle rwr doesnt have signal strenght like the flanker so do i have to guess? Is this something that comes with a lot of practice?

Thanks in advance

See spoiler, that might help you with the dogfighting stuff. Also, this: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/645693/?sphrase_id=3147574

Those are the performance charts for the F-15C with the engines we have in-game.

As for the second part of your post: The Eagle shows threat range, which is basically signal strength with some modifications (certain radars appear at different positions even if they're at the same range). edit: Actually, I think the Flanker does the same thing... :P

I'd recommend opening up the editor, spawning an F-15 and a radar, and using the F10 map + ranging tool to figure that stuff out!

For active radar AAMs you can usually tell their range by the RWR, but (in MP, at least) I've had some issues where the M icon will stay in one position and then I go boom, guess its desync or something...

For the other missiles, you can usually judge distance by the smoke trail.
