save all parameters??

When I was doing a RL instrument rating, the most valuable training tool (which saved ££££) was the facility in MS flight sim to save everything at a given moment. That included aircraft, weather, position, all radio/navaid settings and whatever aircraft configuration was set. For example, I was able to 'drop' myself at an IP prior to an ILS or over an NDB to practice a hold.

 

I have to admit to being a complete Luddite when it comes to programming.

Is it a do-able thing to develop a program with GUI within DCS that could do the same?

It would be a groundbreaker to accelerate instrument navigation/procedural training.

 

Personally, I'd pay good money for such a facility - and it wouldn't take long for others to appreciate the benefits too.
