edgtho Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 In my squad we have detected a problem in the VOR of Tbilisi: it's out of alignment. We use Tbilisi as a training zone for instrumental procedures, mostly with the UH-1. An example: when aligned at 75 degrees, over a distance greater than 5 miles. Screenshots below, sorry they are made with mobile  (10 miles from airport, 75 degress VOR). This afternoon i will try others VOR and will make good screenshots
edgtho Posted April 17, 2016 Author Posted April 17, 2016 I checked all VOR, and gives me a deviation on course about 7 degrees. Two examples: Gelendzhik, VOR radial 080 outbound Mineralvody, VOR radial 180 outbound
DUSTY Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 I checked all VOR, and gives me a deviation on course about 7 degrees. The magnetic variation in Georgia is roughly 6 degrees east so this looks normal to me. The 'ruler' tool in the ME and F10 map reads true heading and your aircraft reads magnetic heading, it seems like this is the source of the error and therefore not a bug. edgtho Posted April 17, 2016 Author Posted April 17, 2016 (edited) Your assertion makes sense, but why only VOR is affected? Only VOR is in magnetic heading?? When I'm aligned using NDB or ILS, the course is the same in the instruments and F10 map. Edited April 17, 2016 by edgtho
DUSTY Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 When I'm aligned using NDB or ILS, the course is the same in the instruments and F10 map. Hmmm, that shouldn't be the case. It should still show the same deviation. edgtho Posted April 19, 2016 Author Posted April 19, 2016 I made a screenshot with NDB configured, the deviation does not exist If you see the shots above yo will see a difference bewteen radio compass and magnetic compass.
DUSTY Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 That screenshot doesn't show any anomalies to my eye. The screenshot alone without being able to see exactly where you are reference the NDB (F10 map) doesn't allow me to draw any conclusions. Also I don't have 1.5 installed right now otherwise I'd load up and test it myself. edgtho Posted April 21, 2016 Author Posted April 21, 2016 I Know, I looked on F10 map and didn't make a screenshot because the course was the same. I found useless put another screenshot and I thought my word would be enough.:dunno:
