Toolboy77 Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Hey all! I'm having trouble finding some information on this and I'm hoping someone has a solution here. After recently upgrading a few components on my PC I have a very stable and fluid experience in the Nevada map. I'm mostly sitting at around 60-70 FPS. My problem is however, even though my FPS is Stable, the camera movement in cockpit is pretty choppy & definitely not in the range of 60-70 FPS. This is the case with Trackir 5 enabled and without (using mouse look). Has anyone else here experienced this? Any hints / solutions on how to resolve this? hughlb Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 (edited) Yes, similar experience with trackIR in cockpit. It might have something to do with the fact there is pretty significant screen tearing with vsync off. More than what I would typically see in other game engines (my experience, at least). Turning vsync on does a good job at smoothing things out, but not entirely. It might also have something to do with content loading as you move your view around in the frame. It's frustrating how challenging it is to get buttery smooth visuals, especially with a really high framerate - in the framerate department, EDGE is fantastic. Zulu Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Although I don't have Track IR I also notice that I get significant stuttering especially when I zoom in. Good fps when looking around the cockpit but as soon as I try zoom in FPS drops to the teens. To INVENT an Airplane is Nothing. To BUILD One is Something.
