wolle Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Auto-collective currently is a "cheat" that comeswith the auto-hover auto-pilot function (it can be activated/deactivated by pressing "C"). Some of us think (I do) it is not necessary, the collective can be easily adjusted to stay at a given height above ground. Please make it a special tab option, so that the ones who want it can activate it, but the ones who don't want it can make it permanently disappear. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel Core I7 4820K @4.3 GHz, Asus P9X79 motherboard, 16 GB RAM @ 933 MHz, NVidia GTX 1070 with 8 GB VRAM, Windows 10 Pro
Redglyph Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Isn't that possible to simply unbind the key, if you're concerned about pressing it inadvertently? System specs: Win7 x64 | CPU: i7-4770K | RAM: 16 GB | GPU: GTX 980 Ti 6 GB | Thrustmaster HOTAS | MFG rudder pedals | SATA3 SSD | TrackIR
sabreman Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 That wont do because autocollective defaults to on.
Redglyph Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Indeed, some missions seem to have it enabled from the start, like the weapon training at least (haven't seen another yet). It's a mission trigger apparently, it can easily be removed. I often felt the need for options when starting some missions, like cold start / runway for instance. This could be another good example if implemented one day :) I suppose the idea is the same as the Huey, you're one user in a two-seat aircraft and sometimes you need to rely on some extra features to help doing the job of two people.
