The Virtual Armed Forces (VAF)

 

Simulating a forward deployed task force in support of countering the global threat known as Ottoman State and Arabia (OSA)

 

 

United States

 

The United States has activated the 75th TFS consisting of:

• 14 X A-10C Warthogs
  

 

 

Naval Aircraft

 

Naval Task Forces have not been considered as organic to the VAF. However the USN is authorized to commit Squadron resources as needed.

 

Virtual Squadron Support

 

Recruited Squadrons will be tasked as needed depending on the Operation Order (OPORD) that is in effect.

 

 

 

 

Tiger Group (vTS)

 

The (Virtual) Tiger Group is a multinational response group that receives support from all NATO countries in the form of Supplies, Aircraft + Support equipment, and logistics directly from NATO. The Tigers are staffed with all different nationalities to include pilots, ground crew, Intelligence, and command and control resources.

 

When operations are ongoing the VAF will reach out to existing squadrons looking for pilots, JTACS, and AWACS support. They will field Tiger assets and conduct operations in accordance to Tiger doctrine.

 

The Tiger fleet is limited but has carried out several key missions with outstanding success. The current makeup is as follows:

 

 

 

Greece

 

The Hellenic Air Forces has recently retired a squadron of Mirage 2000 C aircraft.

• 10 X Mirage 2000C (CAP)
  
• 10 X Mirage 2000C (Strike / Interdiction)
  

Committed (2016)

• 10 X F-5E Tiger (CAP / CAS)
  

 

 

Deutschland

 

Germany has also rededicated some of their Air Assault aircraft consisting of:

• 10 X UH-1N (Logistics and Armed Support)
  
• 10 X SA342 Gazelle (Armed Recon)
  

Committed (2016)

• 10 X BO105 Medium attack
