chlywly Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 I'm trying to run DCS World with my Vive. It auto-launches with fairly low settings and low resolution, 1280x760. Where as Vive is 1080x1200 per eye. One thing I'm having trouble with, is my 360 controller not working automatically. Setup seems fairly complex? Next is, DCS starts with a very strange cockpit/camera position. Essentially I have to walk up to it and stand up tall in order to not be outside of the plane. How do I adjust the default cockpit position? I'd like to be seated next to my PC. Thanks! :pilotfly:

Alterscape Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 If you want to semi-permanently reset it, you can bring up the Steam Overlay (hit the menu button on either hand controller) and use 'recenter seated view' button, which is in the lower right corner of the overlay.

Not sure I understand what you're trying to do here, fly with your Xbox controller? Forget about this, this is a flight sim, flying without at least a proper joystick will be a painful experience. Oh and the control settings are from a different century, you'll need to get used to it. I used to be a hardcore original IL-2 player. It's been a while and this sim seems far deeper.

I had a ton of fun with that game but DCS is a whole other ballpark. Super excited to start learning it through and through. Probbaly starting with the P51 or BF9.
