robban75 Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 At risk of sounding like a whiner I'd like to lift this problem again. Pehaps it's a problem only on my rig? None of the other modules in DCS suffer from this? I have the F-15C, Su-27, Fw 190D-9, P-51D, Bf 109K-4, Ka-50 and MiG-21. These all have nice and clear canopies. The canopy has a milky shine which seems to be excessive sky reflections? Also, at some angles the pilot and everything else inside the cockpit seems 2-D, in that they reflect light like a flat surface. This bug arrived with the 2016-04-30 update. The canopy on the Mirage 2000 is dark like a pair of sunglasses when the sun is shining from behind. Can I adjust this myself, or is it a bigger issue? Some pics. Milky shine. 2-D cockpit details, with the seat and pilot casting dark and sharp shadows on the canopy wall. Canopy acts like a pair of sunglasses. The sun i shining directly from behind yet it is dark. Jagged canopy/windscreen outline. Notice the rest of the airframe is smooth except for the canopy. And this is what the canopy used to look like. Shiny, but thoroughly clear and see-through..
Zeus67 Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 We have this in our tray, but right now our modeler is busy with the Belougas and BAP-100 bombs. "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning." "The three most dangerous things in the world are a programmer with a soldering iron, a hardware type with a program patch and a user with an idea."
robban75 Posted May 28, 2016 Author Posted May 28, 2016 Thanks, Zeus67! Glad to know it's on the to do list.
