Just wondering if anyone here has tried to add a pipe of some sort to their throttle to make a collective? I came across a video on YouTube of what looked to be a piece of pvc zip tied but it was kind of hard to tell. If anyone here can share some of their collective mods or a possible way to make my warthog hotas work would greatly be appreciated.

Its not really helpful but in my humble opinion you may be better trying to source say an X-52 Throttle, you can then drill to your hearts content.

Im getting a Warthog for my 40th next Tuesday and the X-52 is going to be my collective project.

There is one on ebay:

I actually have a spare x-52 pro laying around that i can probably mod. I've seen a few of those throttle mods and it looks like they just screw some pipe directly to the side handle of the throttle. I wonder if that end piece comes off....wouldnt want to screw into the throttle and hit something electrical

I took apart the throttle of the XaA52 to replace the mouse button with an Xbox Thumb controller, was pretty easy. I don't there is much at all hat end. If you didn't want to screw it you can just get some pretty bloody strong no more nails and glue it it, trust me, the out doors stuff could glue you to aca747 and aside from hyperthermia and death by lack of oxygen, your corpse would still be stuck at the end of a transatlantic flight!

It is that permanent, depending on your stick of choice you may want to just glue a threaded steel pipe or some other connecting divice so you can swap sticks.

Added bonus, if you do take the X52 apart you can de solder all the wires from the switches and put the to a block connector outside of the 52. These could then be used to add switches and hats to the box on the top of the cyclic.

After all Ve finished my rudder I'm going to do this, just convinced myself writing this!
