sobe Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 (edited) If my CH pedals (now 10 years old) were working perfectly, I would prefer them over the new TM pedals. CH pedals They are generally more comfortable to use and when they were working, they were reasonable accurate. However, I have had issues with the CH programing software that CH tech support could not solve so I am forced to use the pedals as dumb USB pedals and calibrate using the windows calibration. Now the CH brakes do not sit at zero even with a large deadzone. TM pedals They are not as substantial or as comfortable as the CH pedals, but they do get the job done. The two big advantages to them are 1. If you want to use them as dumb USB pedals, they have their own special calibration tool with a deadzone calibration so they do not need the windows calibration tool or be programmed in Target. This tool seems to work ok. 2. They can be programmed in Target with the WH Hotas so you have one less device to forget to deal with when loading DCS. In summary, the TM pedals are a nice inexpensive set of rudders/brakes that should satisfy most players looking to spend less than $100. However, if you already have a good set of pedals that are in working condition and you like them, there is no good reason to switch.
