AstroEma Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Hi all, just tried a few times the air-to-air engagement yesterday (in VR) and it seems that the AI has a completely different aircraft then myself! By all means, I probably suck at air-to-air combat, but how can the AI not overtake me in a situation like this: me- coming out of an immelman, speedbrake on, throttle to idle, flight path to intercept his and speed is 130kts, with sever shaking in the airframe. him- came out of a split-s, and just reaching the bottom of it, he was able to stay on my tail without overtake me? Not sure how he depleted his energy?? The performance of his plane are just different from mine. If he gets on the tail, there's no way to shake him off. Cheers, e. ricktoberfest Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 If he was pulling lots of G's then that slows down the airframe a lot. Either that or he would swing wide of your turn in a sort of vertical yoyo to keep his speed up but stay behind you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
NeilWillis Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 You are expecting a lot from a simple flight model AI aircraft. If you want a taste of BFM, then you'd be better off by far joining a multiplayer group.
