steveiy Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Hi, I upgraded to version 1.5.4.55169 today. I now get the curvy menu window in the hangar with the Mig 29 instead of the old 2d screen. I should first say that I quickly tired of having to stare directly at the button I wanted on the menu, because the mouse won't move the cursor. Choosing "use mouse" in VR made that effect go away, but... The OK and Cancel buttons now don't work on any menu. The only way out of settings menu is to hit the X at the top right, which cancels the selection. So I have to power down the Vive and restart the game in non-VR mode if I want to change any settings. Same thing happens in the game launch. The splash screen that says "hit pause or fly to continue" has a "fly" button but clicking on it does not work. I have to hit the X. Then I have to fumble around to find the pause button in order to unpause the game (and I'm not sure that works every time). Equipment: HTC Vive GTX 1080 Windows 8.1
=DECOY= Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 hit left alt+enter to get into full screen. should then work buddy Water cooled i9-9900K | Maximus Code XI MB | RTX3090 | 64GB | HP Reverb G2
steveiy Posted July 28, 2016 Author Posted July 28, 2016 Thanks for the tip. The alt+enter did a funny thing - the VR display went black and the game crashed to desktop. However, following the spirit of your advice I selected "full screen" in the settings menu whilst running from 2d. Now I can click on the "fly" button at last, although I still have to be quite deliberate about where I put the cursor. Thanks again, :)
NeilWillis Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 At present, the full screen selection isn't working in the opyions menu. Therefore, to get full screen (which will also make your frame rate increase slightly) you must press L Alt + Enter, as previously advised. If you still get a crash when you do that, I'd recommend doing a repair, and if you're still having issues with it, post here for some more things to try.

eaglecash867 Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 Thank you for this, explains a lot, Love DCS in VR, its so real as it gets. In addition to the advice already given, sometimes the Steam VR window pops up in the middle of your monitor screen. You can't see it in VR, but many times it will be there on your monitor, right on top of the menu buttons you're trying to click on. Just make sure that you minimize the Steam VR window so its not hovering over your menu buttons on your monitor.
