So, I have a question about the fuel system, mainly the indications.

From what I understand, the F-5E has sensors in it's main tanks that indicate fuel quantity on the cockpit dial and a sensor that senses absence of fuel in the external tanks.

Here's what bothers me : When you switch the external tanks pump on (either the center or pylons), you immediately see the fuel quantity needles go up to the max. It doesn't seem right to me. For me it should make the neeldes either stop going down or slowly increase the fuel quantity in the internal tanks.

Can anybody confirm that it is the correct behaviour of those needles or does something need be corrected ?
