gharness84 Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 Finally getting back into the A-10C and I returned to find the beloved SFJackBauer X52 profile no longer working due to patches. I looked around but couldn't find an accurate enough replication. This is my attempt. All credit goes to SFJackBauer. Thank you for making an intuitive HOTAS layout that my friend and I used to learn how to fly this beast. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Download, unzip, and extract files to the following locations: gharness84_DCS_A-10C_X52_InGameBindings.diff.lua C:\Users\Public\Documents and gharness84_DCS_A-10C_X52.pr0 C:\Users\Public\Documents\SmartTechnology Profiles ---------------------------------------------------------------- Add the JOY_BTN6 modifier in DCS A-10C Sim Options>Controls: ---------------------------------------------------------------- Load gharness84_DCS_A-10C_X52_InGameBindings.diff.lua in DCS using the 'Load Profile' button in the upper right of Options>Controls. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Load gharness84_DCS_A-10C_X52.pr0 in the Saitek Profiler: ---------------------------------------------------------------- This should be all you need to do. I mapped the Speed Brakes Closed and Speed Brakes Open to the 'B' and 'N' keys and then mapped the throttle slider to bands in the Saitek Profiler. B key at 0%-25%, Null(center) at 25%-75%, and N key at 75%-100%. Hopefully this doesn't mess up the keyboard functionality for you too much. Also, I only use one Mode 1 (green LED). Basically pulling the pinky switch back towards you. I know the original had some other pinky modes but this seems to work fine for me. ---------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------- I hope this helps some returning pilots. Thanks again to SFJackBauer for figuring this all out. Have fun and fly safe! :thumbup:DCS A-10C X52 Profiles.zip [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] _______Spreading peace. One JDAM at a time. :beer:_______
Oceandar Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Thank you so much for this. I use SST software to map the keys and want to try to use this. Cheers Gam Zeh Ya'avor - King Salomon Mastering others is strength. Mastering yourself is true power. - Lao Tze
