projector vs 3 x 4k 55"tv

Does anyone here use a projector for DCS?

If so, could you please give more details?

I'm really thinking about either 3 x 55 inches 4k tv's or a 4k projector

I know, it could be pretty expensive but I'd like to know which option would be better

With 3 x 4k tv's, i need 3 GTX 980Ti / 1080, etc

What about the 4k projector? Same GPU power?

Could i use 1 single 4k projector on a large surface, like 3 m x 2 m with a single GTX 980 Ti or SLI?

What about the picture quality on the tv's vs 4k projector?

Please guys, give me some advices, i want to start saving some money, but first i want to know exactly what's the best options

You'd be better with projector(s) that are not 4K (they are too expensive). 2 or 3 HD projectors and curved screen would be best option.. check this out.

Okay, but 2 or 3 HD projectors ( full HD ? ) doesn't have a nice pic quality, am I right ?

Is the same quality as a full HD tv, 60 inches ??

I would really like to see the picture quality with one single full HD projector, on a large surface, like 2 x 1,5 m, to compare ...

For very large surface and single projector you really need to use 4K projector... but for the cost of 1 such projector you could get 3 1080p projectors, warping software and such curved setup, which would be much more immersive than single projector on flat projection screen.

 

EDIT: actually looks like 4K projectors came down in price quite a bit from last time I looked, still expensive but not as much as before.

And if I get 3 x 1080p projectors, what would be the best surface, for a clear image, for 1 projector?

About 1,5 m x 1 m?
