Kartoffel Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 In waiting for the LN F-14, I was flying against some AI F-14 to get myself acquainted with my new enemy. What I found surprised me... Basically, the SARH AIM-54s seems to have a pitbull point. So, when they are shot you will not get a launch warning until somewhere decent into its flightpath. I noticed this and found this strange as this is not how SARH missiles work is it? Can anyone explain this to me? War is easy and is just like riding a bike. Except the bike is on fire and the ground is on fire and you are on fire and you realise you are in hell :joystick:
GGTharos Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 The AIM-54 is not a SARH missile. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

Kartoffel Posted August 28, 2016 Author Posted August 28, 2016 Ok. Now I remember. But did I hear somewhere that the AI does not use that function or was that just for one of the other planes? War is easy and is just like riding a bike. Except the bike is on fire and the ground is on fire and you are on fire and you realise you are in hell :joystick:
GGTharos Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 That was for DCS a few years ago. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
