Brighter lights mod?

I was flying with a buddy of mine and he had all of his lights on, however I still couldn't see him. His lights were still just little pin pricks on my screen. I'm wondering if there is a way I can make the lights bloom? Is there a DCS option or a mod to make the lights more visible? Flight Simulator X did a really good job of this.
