Rlaxoxo Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 (edited) Is it normal that you get the sound of AoA Limiter when you pull fulls stick back in A-G and A-A FBW mode while pulling less then 6 G's when going like mach 1 As soon I pull my Stick 95% back I hear the AoA Limiter warning even tho I'm pulling like 5G's and going mach 1+ (EDIT: Meant to say AoA Not G's obviously but can be understood from the context) Example vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2gag7Q5WNw&feature=youtu.be Edited August 31, 2016 by Rlaxoxo [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Youtube Reddit
jojo Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 (edited) The alarm is triggered by AoA limit or full aft stick. The AoA limit is different in CHARGES or AA. So it's not the G load that triggers it, and in your video it's the "full aft stick". But maybe the "Bug Reports" isn't the right place to ask the question ? The AOA Indicator sounds an alarm when AOA values approach the aircraft flight limits. The AOA limits are configured depending on the FBW’s mode switch. Manual p59. However the "full aft stick" condition is missing, I give you that :smilewink: Edited August 31, 2016 by jojo Mirage fanatic ! Shadow_1stVFW Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Somewhere else in the manual it says that in charges mode the FBW doesn't protect the aircraft from exceeding the AOA limitation and it's up to the pilot to prevent exceeding that. The tone is triggered at like ~18-19 alpha I believe it is. If you test it again in charges mode, pull like you did in the video watching the AOA Guage and you can see exactly when it goes off.
