SayusiAndo Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Hi All, I have a HOTAS Warthog Joystick and Throttle. I'm a little bit annoyed with engine start and stop because I have to use keyboard. I would like to start the engine by the Throttle. According to the game it should be disengaged position (it pulled fully backward and you need to lift the throttle a bit to reach this point). As a next step you should push forward and it will leave the disengaged position and arrives to bottom of engaged position where the engine starts. It is not possible with the default calibration setup because the 0 position is not the bottom of engaged, but the bottom of disengaged. Have anybody successfully calibrated the throttle to achieve that the 0 position is the bottom of engaged? Can you describe it for me, or do you have an article, video how to do it? Thanks, András
tintifaxl Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Which module are you talking about? The A-10C? Windows 10 64bit, Intel i9-9900@5Ghz, 32 Gig RAM, MSI RTX 3080 TI, 2 TB SSD, 43" 2160p@1440p monitor.
tintifaxl Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 To have the A-10C module reliably respond to the engine start command, I always have the throttle on IDLE and put it to OFF when the mission has started and I'm in the cockpit. Then I can always start the engine when moving the throttle from OFF to IDLE. To me it seems as if the module has problems determining the throttle position on misson start and this method ensures the module and the throttle are synced.
