Hey guys,

I'm building an air start mission where I want certain settings to be set at mission start, like the Maverick EO power. Is the a way to set what is turned on / off at mission start ?

Thanks

Cheers :joystick:

Happy Flying ! :pilotfly:

There is a 'Prepare mission' option under the Flight tab, you setup all the systems there and then save the mission. Upon reloading it it will load the saved aircraft configuration.

There is a section in the manual where it is explained in more depth of you want to know more.

That doesn't seem to work, or perhaps it's restricted to a few modules.

I tried with the M-2000C and the Mig-21bis, and it does add info to the mission file, but unfortunately nothing to set up the avionics or other cockpit settings. It would be great to have such a feature instead of setting them by script, the default configuration rarely fits the requirements, that's why I usually prefer cold starts ;)

How can we set cockpit instruments by Lua script anyway?

Yes, that's annoying we can't. We have to use the GUI scripting instead (trigger condition values, and actions). I was designing a tutorial for the MiG-21, and setting/inspecting all those parameters with the GUI triggers and setting them up for each case was really tedious, it could have benefited a lot from Lua.
