In several training missions (bombing training tutorial, for instance) is mentioned that QNH can be found in mission briefing (LALT+B), in weather section.

That is not correct.

I could check temperature, wind, ceiling... but not QNH.

I confirm, the briefing panel (at least in 1.5.4.57288.170) does not mention the QNH, that could be useful though. Maybe this should be moved to the 1.5 forums?

The following training missions refer to this missing information:

- F-5E Training - A2G Bombs

- F-5E Training - A2G Rockets and Guns

- F-5E Training - Navigation

For now, you can see that in the mission editor, in mm Hg though (or Torr), I have no idea why it's not inch Hg or mbar instead. The ATCs give QFE unfortunately, so you can't easily adjust your altimeter. I never checked whether it was properly set on mission start depending on the atmospheric pressure but I don't think so, at least when it's a ramp start you have to adjust it (which is good practice).

There is a "manual" way to "calculate" QNH on ground:

1.Just check on F10 view your altitude of your parking position.

2. Set your altitude in altimeter setting with your altitude parking position.

3. This setting should be you QNH.

This "manual" proccedure consider that your altimeter works with no errors.

(In real life altimeters has an acceptable error close to 70 feet).

Anyway, QNH provided by ATC or briefing (LALT+B), should be better for me.

But this procedure requires you to be on the ground which is not the case of those missions, where you start in the air (and I suppose it's the reason behind the OP's question) ;)

QFE is widely used by Russian ATC civilian and military. NATO uses as standard QNH and Nellis would never use QFE afak. (The RAF has used QFE as well. I do not know if they still do...)
