DCS 1.5.4.57288.170

I found those problems in the first training mission (F-5E Training - Cold Start - Taxi - Takeoff).

1) Initial conditions.

The F-5E is not on the ground when the mission start, it is dropped from some height, see screenshot. Probably not very good for the front gear...

2) Wrong indication in the tutorial, and possible problem with ground crew logic.

"Right-Shift + Home" to start left engine, should be: "Right-Alt + Home"

When I first followed the instruction, it started the right engine. I cut it off and found the correct key to start the left engine. But when I wanted to start the right engine, something in the logic apparently failed and the ground crew wouldn't apply air correctly on the right.

I tried to reproduce this a 2nd time but on that one it worked so I'm not sure where it was coming from.

3) Wrong indication in the tutorial.

"Right-Ctrl + Home" to start right engine, should be "Right-Shift + Home"

4) Suggestion for key mapping (not only for the training missions of course).

Perhaps the choice of the keys to start the left/right engines (and to stop them) could match what has been done before in the A-10C, for the sake of coherency? Besides, it felt more logical. I know they can be redefined by the user, but that would be better if preset that way.

On the other hand, the default HOTAS joystick and throttle is quite good!

5) Suggestion for content.

It could be interesting to switch on the usual, necessary items like nav lights, taxi/landing light, pitot, ask for permission with the radio. Not a big deal though.

The "drop on the floor" bug is not specific to the training missions, it seems to be in all missions.

I agree with all your points, Reddlyph.

But... Is there anybody reading our comments and taking them into cons¡deration or we are loosing our time?

There are no feed back of our reports.

I think it should be better fixing bugs and problems than setting up a skin contest.

Well, I yet have to see any sign of life from Belsimtek, in any bug report, since I bought the first aircraft from them. Not sure why some sort of communication is not maintained, at least encouraged by ED.

Out of desperation, I took one last chance and tried to write a post in the Russian section (for another issue), we'll see. Chances are the translation is so bad they won't be able to understand.

Thank you for report!

Initial drop will be here for a while due to some core limitations.

Keyboard bindings are corrected in internal version.

Good to have some feedback.
