Redglyph Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 DCS 1.5.4.57288.170 When selecting the imperial units and displaying the map, the displayed units for the elevation of an airport and its runway length are metres, though from the numbers it's obviously in feet. Further suggestions :) This would be more convenient to have an in-map option icon to select between both metrics (imperial/standard), because depending on the aircraft the user may need one or the other. It would be very handy to be able to access the atmospheric pressure somewhere, since the ATC only gives the QFE. In the mission editor, the atmospheric pressure in indicated in mm Hg (Torr), is anyone using those units? I'd express that in inch Hg or mbar depending on the option. Redglyph Posted November 13, 2016 Author Posted November 13, 2016 (edited) It's still the same in DCS 1.5.5.58891.190, I'm not sure this has been reported before. So the elevation units in the map are in metre for the airports no matter what, and not shown for the aircraft and other mobile units. The QNH is now shown, which is nice! But still only in inch Hg and mm Hg, not the bar standard unit. Get your calculator ready! ;) Edited November 13, 2016 by Redglyph System specs: Win7 x64 | CPU: i7-4770K | RAM: 16 GB | GPU: GTX 980 Ti 6 GB | Thrustmaster HOTAS | MFG rudder pedals | SATA3 SSD | TrackIR

SnowTiger Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 I don't mind having to calculate ... BUT ... I can't find a suitable Conversion Formula and/or Online Calculator (or I just don't know what I'm doing when the time comes !). Converting Feet/Meters for the sake of Bombing (F-5E) is one thing; Converting QNH to whatever so that the Altimeter works .. is another. For example: In DCS 2.whatever the Tower said something like 27.25 but I couldn't dial that in. No mater what I did, I couldn't even get the Alt to Zero regardless what I input on the dial !!
