Mod to turn 1000 pound conventional warhead to a W80 50KT yield nuke.

 

Heres a blast shot of Sukhumi airbase as the runway and town disappear. Also some bases cant be nuked. Tbilisi and others further north can be too.

 

For noobs i keep the Normandy well out at sea. Select advanced waypoint then perform task... then fire at point ...then triangle pulled to desired target... then weapons auto. Only recommend expend round option as 1 or 2 tops as un ticked will launch a tonne of tomahawks and the blasts might bring slower machines to a crawl and thats all you really need to vaporizerise smaller airbases. For city and infrastructure destruction id recommend the tweak below.

 

 

For the full 150KT W80 version use Notepad++ to edit line

 

 

warheads["BGM_109B"] = simple_warhead(20000000.0);

 

 

change the 20000000.0 to 150000000.0 and save.

 

 

To restore back to conventional change 20000000 back to 454.0

 

 

Update for Openbeta 1.5.5.58642

 

 

reduced the 50000000.0 of old data down to 20000000.0

 

 

Also dont use the old 1.5.4 warhead.lua that was posted here on new 1.5.5 openbeta. Just edit the figures manually.

Reduced 50 Kiloton down to 20Kiloton due to overpower of nuke

I presume this mod idea could "enhance" the ALCMs also? I'm tired of the MiG-21 having the LNO capability all by it's self. :D

Havent tried the B-52 launched ones. Ive turned the sea launched ones into the A version not the B but they are the same cruise missile. Same here thats why i did it. Only been toying with the idea recently.

 

Also you can do this to the Russian ALCMS too but now you have that balance like you said. Easy to adjust as its a simple warhead not affected by real life weight restrictions.

Backy 51 or to whom may want to turn the ALCM nuclear change below line in Notepad++

to

 

warheads["AGM_86"] = penetrating_warhead(20000000.0);

No. All Tomahawks and ALCMS are 1000 pound conventional in sim. Just the edit turns them nuclear. Had them at 50KT but 10KT is better. Less, more realistic damage (Hiroshima size nuke size via dial a yield arming like in real life) and can be safely shot down via sams and air to air missiles.

Нет, все Томагавк и КРВБ являются 1000 фунтов обычными в SIM. Просто редактировать превращает их ядерное оружие. Если бы их на 50KT но 10KT лучше. Меньше, более реалистичный ущерб (размер Хиросима Nuke размер с помощью набора выход постановки на охрану, как и в реальной жизни) и может быть безопасно сбит с помощью ЗУР и воздуха воздух ракеты.

Men'she, boleye realistichnyy ushcherb (razmer Khirosima Nuke razmer s pomoshch'yu nabora vykhod postanovki na okhranu, kak i v real'noy zhizni) i mozhet byt' bezopasno sbit s pomoshch'yu ZUR i vozdukha vozdukh rakety.
