ruddy122 Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 Hi Everyone, Just a quick note. I discovered in the latest update on 2 December that the ADI needs to be caged during preflight in order to work. As soon as you have electrical power preferably after Engine Start there is an ADI Caging Lever on the Main ADI you need to switch to Cage the ADI and be good to go. The switch is located near the top right of the ADI Also, make sure when your initializing your position between Nellis and Georgia that you have the appropriate East or West Longitude in or you INS is going to be way off Happy Flying Lucky [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] LUCKY:pilotfly::joystick: Computer Specs CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 6-Core 3.4 GHz| GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 6Gb | RAM: 32 GB DDR4 @ 3000 MHz | OS: Win 10 64 bit | HD: 500 Gb SSD
Azrayen Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 (edited) Err... Sorry no. No caging on the "main ADI" it doesn't have its own gyros but relies on the INS. The N/P lever is Normal / Pole (as in south pole). The P position is only used in case of device failure, so that an "all black" indicator is shown = it does not lead to pilot interpretation error. IIRC 1.5.5 u1 is correct about that. First 1.5.5 (or 2.0.4) perhaps wasn't. = = = = = = OTOH, the back-up ADI (which is an independent device, with its own gyros) needs to be: - engergized (CMGS switch on the right console => middle position) - uncaged (knob => click) ++ Az' Edited December 5, 2016 by Azrayen
