BitMaster Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 cleaning an SBS2008R2 with 44500+ Trojans, Ransomware and some lesser harmful stuff. Just a reminder and warning that you should make backups and DISCONNECT those drives. Ransomware looks for backup file endings and kills those too, so you have no way back. Scanning a large network that got infected last two days, luckily Avira Prof. and Excxhange module seem to have hold tight and only a few got through that ONLY ONE PERSON opend..the CEO...LoL. Luckily that 1 file was no ransomware or disaster would have happened in a few seconds, including all attached network drives...no matter what OS is behind the file share !!!!! Linux or Mac as a fileserver do not have any superior protection there just cuz of the nature of its OS, SMB is SMB, plain simple. It may help you to save your behind :) Bit Gigabyte Aorus X570S Master - Ryzen 5900X - Gskill 64GB 3200/CL14@3600/CL14 - Sapphire Nitro+ 7800XT - 4x Samsung 980Pro 1TB - 1x Samsung 870 Evo 1TB - 1x SanDisc 120GB SSD - Heatkiller IV - MoRa3-360LT@9x120mm Noctua F12 - Corsair AXi-1200 - TiR5-Pro - Warthog Hotas - Saitek Combat Pedals - Asus XG27ACG QHD 180Hz - Corsair K70 RGB Pro - Win11 Pro/Linux - Phanteks Evolv-X
