ALDEGA Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 It seems that ten 10.000 polygon objects will have a greater impact on game performance than one 100.000 polygon objectLogical, considering the overhead. That's why forests in LockOn (and games like OFP) do not consist of individual trees, but blocks of trees which make up a single geometry set. You just have to create a few variations of blocks and you're set :) The framerate doesn't drop much near cities because of the geometry, but rather the large number of objects.

Keep in mind its not animated yet. I'm going to try to add it soon when i go back home to get my 3dmax installed.
