Preface: This is an awesome feature!!

When I first got into the cockpit on MP, the initial position on the kneeboard matched that on my F2 & F10 views. However, after arming, the values on the kneeboard changed and were way off from my actual position.

In the screenshot the data in the INS was from the kneeboard before arming and matches the information on the F2 & F10 views. As you can see the kneeboard information is incorrect.

Possibly related bug:

Today I jumped in a Mirage that already had a waypoint (1) set per mission settings.

Changed it to something else, flew the sortie and then landed.

After (hot) re-arming, I noticed the way-point (1) had changed back to the default coordinates it had on entering the plane.

I have noticed another strange happening. If rearming completes while I am inputting data into the INS, it just erases what I am inputting and fills the block with the incorrect position shown on the kneeboard. I only noticed it on the latitude block, but I didn't have any information in the longitude block at the time.

Isnt the kneeboard Lat long format incorrect for the INS?

Nope, kneeboard gives the correct decimal format.

I hadn't noticed this until the latest two updates, when they released the kneeboard with initial position.

Do we know if there are plans to fix it?

The initial kneeboard position is correct, but it then seems to change once your aircraft is up and running.

Yep - the game does that. But in reality I imagine that your INS drift would be pretty high after landing. So you get a choice between a reset (as it is now) and large drift (how it should be in reality) - in both cases the remedy is new alignment. So - for me - a minor niggle.

Check the manual guys:

After repairing the aircraft you need a FULL alignment.

After rearming you need a partial one.

Page 94 of the manual.

Yes, but the initial position on the kneeboard and INS waypoint 00 changes abrubltly as soon as rearming is complete...even if I just got done with a full alignment. The memory alignment doesn't appear to work properly after rearming either as the 00 waypoint is no longer correct after memory alignment. Also, all of the waypoints reset to all zeros after rearming is complete. These issues did not exist until the last update.

Are there any plans to investigate this and/or fix by the next update?

If it happens I haven't realized. I'll check today and I'll let you know.

Regarding the kneeboard INS coordinates, I am aware that sometimes is a tad inaccurate, so next time I'm flying I'll take a screenshot and I'll submit it to the bugs report.

Veritech, the initial position on the kneeboard is dead nuts accurate until the second the rearming is complete and then it goes upwards of 5 whole degrees off. Same with waypoint 00 in the INS that I had just programmed.
