Hermit713 Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 I had this issue with the Saitek AV8TR and now with the VKB Gladiator. I hardly move the rudder (twist I have no pedals) and the front end fish tails all over.... Trying to actually hit something and it is all but worthless.... My controller doesn't have the ability to do a Curve. Deadzones are useless, if no matter where the sensor starts it takes MICRO...yes MICRO movements to get anything but a 99% probability that the spitfire will yank all over and not hit it's mark... Is this the "WAY IT IS" in a spitfire?? I tried using the wizzo software and calibrated in both windows 10 and Wizzo software.. ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated... NOTE: I am purchasing the me109 and Fw190 and mustang today... so I will see if they are also so sensitive. I don't think so though.
bongodriver Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 You edit curves in DCS itself. I also find the rudder sensitive but think it's more to do with hardware and with a bit of curve in the axis it is perfectly manageable.
Sokol1_br Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 In Options, select the plane (e.g. Spit), select "Axis commands", highlight rudder axis and click in AXIS TUNING. There you can adjust deadzone, sensitivity, apply curves. This adjust is individual, make in every plane. For taxi dont accelerates above 1300 RPM and you taxi fine.
