I turned on DCS today the latest release, the screen will not go past the opening splash screen and then crashes sometimes with just a black screen and other times CTD. Incidentally this also happened to my 2.0'instal. I then uninstalled dcs and tried a reinstall even after a clean vanilla install imstill get same problem. I then proceeded to the saved games log and opened up the latest logs there were a few errors but more worryingly this message appeared a few times This is a bug! You will be punished! What is this? How can this be fixed. Thanks

NeilWillis Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 I'd suggest renaming the saved games section of DCS World, and re starting DCS World. It could have become corrupted, and a new, virgin one will be created during start up. If DCS World is then stable, you can eliminate files from the old saved games install one by one to establish the cause, and still save all your settings.

I will try this when I get home. Would this saved games part affect both 1.5 and 2.0? As both programs crash on start
