SuperKungFu Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 I'm about to get a new laptop since it has fairly good price now and I kinda need one since the one i have now is defective (so sorry guys I can’t wait for dx10 and all that to come out). But since the price dropped, I can add an additional upgrade, which one will be a better choice. The original specs was Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor T7200 (4MB Cache/2.00GHz/667MHz FSB), 1GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz, and 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 7900 GS. Would it be better to push the cpu to 2.16 ghz, or 2 gig of ram but running at 533MHz. Usuually i know lock on is cpu limied so the answer will probably be cpu but i noticed lock on starts off with a lot of stutters in the start of a mission and can be fixed after looking around in the cockpit, i was wonderng would more ram fix that. Both cost about the same [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
SuperKungFu Posted October 27, 2006 Author Posted October 27, 2006 if anyone has any ideas or input i would like to hear it before i make my purchase tonight. Again, both upgrades cost about the same, but added 166 mhz to the cpu is probably not going to make a lot of difference, would it be better to go for ram? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
