Justin Case Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 (edited) I was picking up some cargo when all of a sudden my tailrotor failed, I assumed I had hit something with the tailrotor but I was very curious to what I hit since I was pretty clear of obstacles so I watched the track. It turns out it just failed for no apparent reason...I will try to go back to the same area and see if there are hidden objects in the vicinity. But I'm out of gaming time for a few days now. Fast forward the track to 07:29, the crash occurs shortly before 07:30. EDIT: I just watched the track again to record it and it turns out it has been corrupted when I saved it...Mi-8 Tailboom failure.trk Edited January 4, 2017 by Justin Case http://www.masterarms.se A Swedish Combat Flight Simulator Community.
Retu81 Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Tail boom strike perhaps? Sudden movement of the stick leading to the rotor blade hitting the tail, for example.
Justin Case Posted January 4, 2017 Author Posted January 4, 2017 Sorry I forgot to add that into the first post since it was apparent in the track before I saved it. I was hovering at a height of about 17 meters over a spot between two trucks, very stable and clear of any obstacles. The entire tailboom just separated. This thread is a bit pointless without a working track file. Sorry. http://www.masterarms.se A Swedish Combat Flight Simulator Community.
