Spiceman Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Anyone else having crashes? I had Mission 2 crash consistency and found in a thread where someone suggested deleting a SAM in the mission editor that had been causing crashes in the F-15 campaign and that worked, no more crash in Mission 2. Now I'm in Mission 5 and it's crashing right around push time at the push waypoint. I'm guessing it's some AI element as well. Anyone else seeing crashes in various missions? I tried deleting and re-installing the campaign. Hippo Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 I recently bought and started this campaign, and have had no crashes at all. I'm up to mission 4, which I've now reflown a few times as I'm struggling to complete it successfully. As far as I can tell, everything appears to work, with other flights appearing to do what they're supposed to. Only a minor issue I've found: I can't seem to get a clearance to takeoff when I request it. I have been very careful to keep to taxi / takeoff / push times as closely as possible. It's not you, this is a bug in DCS 2.0.4, it's been like that for quite a while. Once you get on the runway it will generally say "unable to clear for take-off", then immediately "you are clear to take off", but they won't respond to the radio for this specific request. Spiceman Posted January 7, 2017 Author Posted January 7, 2017 I did a DCS repair. Still crashed. I then started disabling add-ons. I disabled Helios and removed the Export.lua. Flew without a crash, although still a lot of micro-stutters and a few 4-second pauses at some points. So there's definitely something going on, and it seems like Helios may have aggravated it. At least I can get through the mission, although flying without Helios and my touchscreen MFDs sucks!
