0414 Wee Neal Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 Hi I operate my A10c from a home built cockpit with 3 BenQ HD projectors, warped with Immersive Display pro; using a Triple Head to Go Digital. I also have a touch screen monitor for running Helios with Cap Loz profile, exports for MFCD etc at per PeterP suggestions. All these run at a resolution of 3840x2104; the main display resolution is 3840 x 1024. This setup was working very well in 1.5.5 release until last update and now when I switch to Hud only view (Alt/F1) in any mission I get a CTD. To date I have tried: a. Uninstalled all Nvidia graphics drivers and reinstalled after a registry clean with CCleaner b. Updated sound card drivers c. Installed all runtime software d. run a sfc/scannow e. run a dxdiag f. Run a DCS repair g. I have run a MEMTEST After all above I still have the CTD, can anyone help please. 0414 Wee Neal Posted March 12, 2017 Author Posted March 12, 2017 CTD solved Hi To date I have tried: a. Uninstalled all Nvidia graphics drivers and reinstalled after a registry clean with CCleaner b. Updated sound card drivers c. Installed all runtime software d. run a sfc/scannow e. run a dxdiag f. Run a DCS repair g. I have run a MEMTEST h. Fresh install of DCS World i. Deleted DCS file in saved games None of the above worked, however...... I went back to an earlier post from BIGNEWY where yhe said it appeared to be a type of display driver issue and although I had done a new install of my Nvidia drivers it was still the same. I did a search on 'nvwgf2umx.dll from my crash log' which is a file from Nvidia drivers, I then searched my HDD and found a whole load of these files which were all left over from every single Nvidia driver update that I had done. I used a free app called 'Display Driver Uninstaller' from 3dGuru website, which cleared out a significant amount of leftover files from Nvidia drivers. I re installed the latest Nvidia driver and problem solved, the CTD had stopped. It does make me wander how many display issues people are having could be down to these 'leftover' bits of code? I cannot now export my cockpit displays to Helios, but thats another problem for another day!! Many thanks for your support on this.
