Invisibull Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 Does anyone have a clue as to why this would happen? Is it a DCS thing, or should i be looking elsewhere for causes? thx i9 9900k - GTX 2080 Ti - MSI Z87 GD65 Mobo - 64GB HyperX Predator RGB DDR4 3200MHz - Win10 64 bit - TM Warthog w FSSB R3 mod - TrackIr 5.
Buzzles Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 Is it a massive mission with lots of stuff in it? DCS missions are just a few text files which can get quite big, rather than lots of small pieces. Also, if you bring up task manager you can see what's going on with your HDD. Something else might be doing lots of read/writes on the drive causing the slow down. Fancy trying Star Citizen? Invisibull Posted April 16, 2017 Author Posted April 16, 2017 thx, Buzzles. It happens even if the mission is empty but for one plane. Something else i noticed is that it only happens after I've closed DCS then re-opened it without logging off or restarting my PC. Seems that DCS is not releasing resources or something along those lines. The only thing that spikes is my SSD when the the ME is trying to write to the .miz file. i9 9900k - GTX 2080 Ti - MSI Z87 GD65 Mobo - 64GB HyperX Predator RGB DDR4 3200MHz - Win10 64 bit - TM Warthog w FSSB R3 mod - TrackIr 5.
