norwegianwiking Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 I'm using a X55 HOTAS, and would love to use the switches on the throttle base for various radar settings. One that I haven't found, that I would love to have is radar mode selector (off-preheat-quiet-on),which would work if we had binds that simply stepped the switch CW/CCW. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be one. Did find the two that control the search pattern (named 4 else 2 bar and 1 else 2 bar). I haven't tested it yet, but I'm assuming it will allow a single up/down toggle to switch between all three patterns. Understand we can't have every specific HOTAS and other controls catered to individually, but it would be nice if mine was :D
kobeshow Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 You can select the individual radar settings with keybindings. I have bound radar standby & radar on, if you put it in standby it will automatically preheat so nothing can go wrong there. To turn it completely off on the ground I just click in the cockpit. some1 Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 It's been reported to Razbam over and over, along with the other keybindings missing... But there's hope :) https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3123959&postcount=4546 Hardware: VPForce Rhino, FSSB R3 Ultra, Virpil WarBRD, Hotas Warthog, Winwing F15EX, Slaw Rudder, GVL224 Trio Throttle, Thrustmaster MFDs, Saitek Trim wheel, Trackir 5, Quest Pro
norwegianwiking Posted April 30, 2017 Author Posted April 30, 2017 So the OR ELSE keybinds did not work. It only changed the setting for as long as the switch was held, which to me doesn't seem like the right way to function. I also experienced issues with the radio switches like Manual\Preset on the V/UHF immediately reverting to M if i tried to switch it, and the frequency selectors doing the same with the numbers. 2.0, just updated, so that may be a bug?
Azrayen Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 1/ The "OR ELSE" keybinds are meant to do precisely that; to be use with temporary buttons. 2/ No bug. Disable "easy comms" option in DCS.
