Changing tanker radio frequency

I can't seem to get the tanker to respond in an AAR mission I made. Do they respond on AM only -that's the only radio I can see in the editor. Cheers

Hey Mojo.

Under ADVANCED WAYPOINT ACTIONS, try Perform command -》set frequency at WP0. Not sure if you can get him over to FM but there's not really any need; everything that takes gas with clickable radios can transmit on AM.

Cheers mate. I'll have a look. I've got most modules and have only tried this with the m2k and A-10C -its the hog I'm having the issue with, I'm a bit out of practice with it.

Be sure that you're pressing the mic switch on the HOTAS in the proper direction to transmit on the desired radio: forward for VHF, down for UHF, and aft for FM.

 

When the comms menu open after pressing your mic switch, you should see which radio you're transmitting on in the top line of text.

Seems like it was a silly mistake. I had a spare 10 mins before to try and realised I didn't have easy comms ticked! Works now anyways.This is my new issue though (not thinking about the A-10C now). With the Mirage, easy comms on, I can switch channels on the red radio but not the green, is this supposed to happen? I'm sure I also used to be able to switch green channels too. Thanks

The top radio is preset channels only; the bottom radio can use either preset channels or be manually tuned by the pilot.

 

There is a rotary on the right-hand side of the bottom radio: set this to "P" to use the preset channels knob or "M" to use manual tuning.

Yeah, I've been using the presets when not in easy comms, but with easy comms on the preset rotary switch for the green radio doesn't work. Not sure what is up. Cheers
