How should one go about scrolling online chat in VR? I wanted to check some of the earlier messages from my session today, but could not figure out how to scroll up. I could see a chat slider, but it wasn't clickable.

Its unintuitive as hell..

You can scroll it the VR cursor over the window.

Move the normal X cursor offset from the window and you should see the VR "dot" cursor appear over the chat window. Now ignore the X cursor and use the dot to interact.

Using VR and with my keyboard out of the way to make room for my HOTAS, chatting isn't something I try to do. I think it would be great to have by default a voice comm channel for each server you fly on to replace texting and to eliminate the process of connecting separately through various 3rd party voice software programs. Imagine having your inflight menu screen give you comm options as it presently does for ATC, tanker, etc....

It doesn't look like a lot of people are on Teamspeak even when server has one - you will see people chatting, but Teamspeak is dead.

I thought TS was the main comm for most, are there other comms being used?

I can't imagine flying with others as a unit and not having comms. When I flew on Jane's we always used comms, As it turned out I haven't flown with anyone on DCS with or without comms since flying DCS. My impression is that you need to commit to a specific group to fly with them and I'm more a spontaneous flier.

Texting while flying won't happen for most using VR.
