Slartibartfast Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 (edited) I seem to be getting thwarted right from the offset by not being able to tune my ADF for some reason. While I'm not able to find a signal at 430MHz I am able to pick one up a little higher in the spectrum and although this signal is broadcasting the Morse code for "LU" (._.. .._) the ADF arrow on the compass is not pointing anywhere near 120°. Am I doing something wrong? Edited May 14, 2017 by Slartibartfast
Slartibartfast Posted May 14, 2017 Author Posted May 14, 2017 Okay, I just realized I hadn't adjusted the compass. When I set the "gyro-compass" to the value shown on the "magnetic-compass" the arrow from the "LU" station does indeed point to about 120° and it does indeed take you straight to Batumi. (:
Mango Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 Thanks, I was having the exact same issue! Must be unnerving for real Huey pilots to navigate over open water.
