goonybird Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 system specs: GIGABYTE GA-K8N-SLI, AMD Athlon64 3500+, (2) 1gb A-DATA DDR 400 RAM, EVGA 256mb GeForce 7800GT, WestDig 74gb 10k Raptor, WestDig 250gb 7200, Soundblaster Audigy2 Value in single player [happens in multiplayer also]... screen spontaniously freezes for several seconds, sound continues on for several seconds with frozen screen, then stops...all is silent with same frozen screen for up to 20 seconds, then game abruptly continues where i should be 20 seconds later [crashed or 20 sec down the course]... otherwise i get good 50-60fps...also, just noticed i can induce the lockup by moving my head fast for long periods in trackIR, or looking back to the limits of the panning range of trackIR..... i've attempted to looked up this same problem on the forum here, but with 2gb RAM, and 256mb card.....page swap problem still possible? ...also this problem surface when i changed from an MSI K8N Neo4 mobo to the GIGABYTE with same vid and sound cards.... i updated all the drivers ....thanks [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Do you have an Antivir or other applications running while you fly Lock-On ? Have you checkd with dxdiag, that all your 3D features are running well ? Did you disable sound hardware acceleration ? Give it a try. kind regards, Raven.... [sigpic]http://www.crc-mindreader.de/CRT/images/Birds2011.gif[/sigpic]
